Psychologie im Recht deals with all questions that lie at the interface between human behaviour and justice. Such questions include, for example, how reliable eyewitnesses can be identified, why innocent people confess to crimes they did not commit, and what role psychologists play in judicial proceedings.
Our aim is to promote interdisciplinary communication between psychology and law in an effort to increase the use of legal psychology research findings in the criminal justice system. By providing information on empirical and theoretical research findings in legal psychology, case studies, relevant organisations, and training opportunities, we aim to foster collaboration and exchange between research and criminal justice practice.
